Describe clearly a moral dilemma or a moral problem either from your own personal experience (if you are willing to share it), or one you heard about from some other source, or any of the moral problems which we have covered in the book. It is extremely important that the problem you address involves some kind of a conflict between moral principles or standards and that you clearly articulate the moral principles involved. Once clearly stated, use the moral theories and the views and arguments of some of the authors we covered during the term to critically examine the problem and offer a well thought out solution. Your solution need not be indisputable; but it ought to be a reasonable solution justified based on serious moral considerations.
The Extra Credit Essay must be no less than 400 of your own words: i.e., all quotations will be subtracted from the total. If your essay is less than 400 words, you do not get any credit for the essay. I prefer that you DO NOT quote at all. But if you do, you better cite properly. If you do not cite, points will be deducted. There are no extensions on the Extra Credit Essay. Therefore, be careful to submit it properly, without any problems, and in time. I will not accept any e-mail submissions or allow any extensions or second takes on this essay.
